Getting Here

Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center is located north of Lawlor Events Center on Virginia and 16th streets, on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, 1.5 miles north of the downtown Reno arch. Free PERMIT parking is available in the West Stadium Parking Complex, level 3, just east of the planetarium. Park between designated planetarium parking signs.

RTC Sierra Spirit
Ride to the planetarium on the Sierra Spirit bus from one of 32 stops along Virginia Street from downtown Reno. Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center is also served by Citifare bus lines, with stops throughout Reno and Sparks.

Planetarium Hours

Sunday-Thursday: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Friday-Saturday: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
Holidays (July 4): 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Open to the public every clear first Friday of each month (weather permitting): 
January-February: 6 to 8 p.m.
March-May: 8 to 10 p.m.
June-August: 9 to 11 p.m.
September: 8 to 10 p.m.
October: 7 to 9 p.m.
November-December: 6 to 8 p.m.

This is an outdoor event with no indoor facilities available; please plan and dress accordingly. Schedule subject to change or cancellation without notice; viewing dependent on weather, wind, and sky conditions. For current information, please call the planetarium at (775) 784-4812
